Brian Drake has served as President of Drake, Saunders & Diwinsky, Ltd. since 2002. Mr. Drake is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and served as a Special Agent for the Office of Special Investigations, USAF where he earned various medals including the Bronze Star and the Air Force Commendation Medal. while serving in Vietnam and Germany in the late 1960’s and early 70’s. After leaving the military he and his family settled in North Eastham in 1973 where he lives today. Brian has been in the insurance and financial services business for over 40 years on Cape Cod where he created one of the largest Property and Casualty agencies on Cape Cod.
After selling his interest in that firm in 1989, he entered the financial services business working for a number of large of Wall Street firms before forming his own insurance practice located in Chatham on Cape Cod. Mr. Drake is a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) Mr. Drake has extensive experience in retirement income planning and qualified plan distributions as well as asset protection.

Mr. Drake has personally studied with Ed Slott, CPA, who is a nationally known expert on retirement planning and IRA distributions. Mr. Drake has been trained to understand the various distribution rules, court cases, IRS Rulings, plan rollovers, inherited IRA rules as well as correcting the serious mistakes made by retirement plan owners when doing rollovers and selecting designated beneficiaries.
He also served on the Board of Directors of Hope Health from 2008-2016 which provides Alzheimer’s and Hospice services for Cape Cod and the Islands as well as southeastern Massachusetts.
He is married to his wife Nancy, a retired nurse, and has three grown children and five grandchildren. He is an active golfer and has been a member of Eastward Ho Country Club in Chatham where he has served on its Executive Committee, Long Range Planning Committee and chaired the golf committee.
